Pilosocereus pachycladus are cacti native to northeastern Brazil. P. pachycladus is a large blue columnar cactus reaching 30 or more feet tall. It resembles the growth patterns of the saguaro cactus. Hardy to zones 9b-11b.
Seed germination typically takes between 5-180 days, even with ideal germination conditions germination is oftentimes sporadic. For best results, sow the seeds on the surface of well draining soil. Sprinkle just enough soil over the seeds to cover them and then water. Covering the soil with plastic to retain humidity can also improve germination rates.
