Tillandsia complanata is a plant with a widespread distribution throughout Central and South America in the bromeliad family of bromeliaceae. T. complanata is commonly grown as an ornamental plant for their sunning blue, purple, or red flowers, and their attractive dense foliage arranged in rosettes. Tillandsia complanata are hardy to zone 10b.
All Tillandsia seeds require light to germinate. Place the seeds directly on the surface of a well draining potting soil. Water the seeds and cover with plastic wrap or a sandwich bag to retain humidity. Keep the soil moist, but not soaking wet between 70°F to 80°F in a well lit area for best results. Germination typically takes 2 to 4 weeks to occur.
