Peruvian Echinopsis or Peruvian Tricho is a large fast growing cactus species native to the Andes Mountains in Peru. Peruvian Echinopsis is cultivated as an ornamental plant, for its use as rootstock, and for its use in traditional medicine going back at least 2,000 years. USDA hardiness zones 10 to 11.

Plant the Peruvian Echinopsis seeds on the surface of a well draining potting soil. Sprinkle a thin layer of soil over the seeds, just enough to cover them. Keep the seeds moist, but not soaking wet and keep between 70°F to 80°F for best results. Seeds typically take 5 to 25 days to germinate.
