Paulownia Tomentosa, commonly called the empress tree, is a fast growing deciduous hardwood in the Paulowniaceae family native to southern and western China. P.  Tomentosa prolifically flowers, producing many egg-shaped fruit containing numerous winged seeds that travel by wind and water dispersal. Because of their fast growth and widespread seed dispersal, they are considered to be an invasive species in North America and precautions should be taken when cultivating to ensure they do not spread. Paulownia Tomentosa grow up to 80 feet tall at maturity and are very tolerant to poor growing conditions and can even survive wildfires.

Plant the Paulownia Tomentosa seeds on the surface of a well draining potting soil. Keep the soil moist, but not soaking wet and in a bright area and keep between 65°F and 75°F for best results. Germination typically takes 1 to 4 weeks to occur.
