Artemisia absinthium, commonly called wormwood, is often grown as an ornamental plant, for its use as an ingredient in absinth, and for its use in herbalism. Wormwood contributes to the psychoactive properties of absinth, and can be found as an ingredient in other spirits, wines, and bitters. A. absinthium is used to treat various digestive issues such as indigestion, nausea, gas, upset stomach, and diarrhea. It has also been shown to help fight against several types of infections. Artemisia absinthium is considered to be mildly toxic in large doses so this should be taken into consideration before use.

Plant the Artemisia absinthium seeds on the surface of a well draining potting soil. Water the seeds and keep them moist, but not soaking wet for 2 to 9 weeks. Keep the seeds between 60°F to 70°F for best results. Plant more than you need because the seeds are small and will fail to germinate or won't make it to maturity.
